Zdeno Chara began his playing career through the time he joined the NHL Entry Draft in 1996. He was selected by the New York Islanders in the 3rd round, 56th overall pick. While he spent four seasons with all the team, Chara became known for his stay at home defense man. As he joined together with the team, he became a two way defense man. Chara’s stint with all the Senators, he determined that he’d not continue playing with all the team and became a unrestricted free agent by the end of 2005-06 season.
