Pavol Demitra is a Slovak professional ice hockey player for Vancouver Canucks worth about $4 million. Pavol Demitra began his career when he joined ZTS Dubnica in 1991. He moved to Czechoslovak Extra liga’s HC Dukla Trennin 1992–93. He remained against the Senators in 1995 as Demitra was traded by the team to St. Louis Blues. During his stint with all the Blues, he set his career high with 93 points for the 2002-2003 season. Upon returning to the U.S., Demitra secured the deal playing for a three-year contract with the Los Angeles Kings in 2005. Injuries prevented him to play for 24 matches throughout the season, he finished third in team scoring with 25 goals and 62 points. When he became an unrestricted free agent, he signed a contract with all the Vancouver Canucks on July 10, 2008. During his whole career playing in the NHL, he played in 847 matches, 304 goals, 464 assists for 768 points. On July 15, 2010, he joined the Kontinental Hockey League’s Lokomotiv Yaroslavl. Pavol Demitra was produced on November 29, 1974 in Dubnica nad Vhom, Czechoslovakia. While on its way to Minsk, Belarus, he and the remainder of the Lokomotiv Yaroslavl hockey team perished in the plane crash on September 7, 2011. He survived by his wife, Maja and three kids.
