Milan Lucic played minor hockey for Vancouver Minor Hockey Association. Eventually, he joined the Delta Ice Hawks and after five matches together with the team, he moved to Coquitlam Express. His junior career continued with all the Express and finally, he played for the WHL’s Vancouver Giants. Milan appeared in 62 matches, with 19 points and added 18 points throughout the playoff games which won them the WHL title. Lucic was chosen as the next round, 50th overall pick by the Boston Bruins during the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. During his stint with the Bruins, he received the Eddie Shore Award in 2009 and 2015, and Seventh Player Award in 2008. On June 26, 2015, he was traded to Los Angeles Kings.
