Mel Brooks Net Worth $85 Million
American film director, screenwriter, composer, lyricist, comic, performer and producer,Mel Brooks has an estimated net worth of $85 million. Born Melvin Kaminsky to a Russian Jewish family in Brooklyn, NY, the writer/producer/director/actor was one of very few people to win an Oscar, Emmy, Grammy, and Tony award. Along with Woody Allen, Neil Simon, and others, he composed for Sid Caesar’s Your Show of Shows, which afterwards became Caesar’s Hour. Teaming up with fellow staff writer Carl Reiner, he developed the award winning “2000 Year Old Man” comedy skit, which led to several recordings, television appearances, and a 1998 Grammy. After serving in the US Army during the second world war, he returned to comedy work as a writer, rather than as a performer. Since then, he’s gone to write several smash-hit humors, along with performing in or directing many of these. His most widely known works contain, “The Producers”, “Blazing Saddles”, “Young Frankenstein”, “History of the World: Part I”, “Spaceballs”, “Robin Hood: Men in Tights”, and “Dracula: Dead and Loving It”. He’s won a Grammy, a Tony, an Emmy, and an Oscar. Along with his writing and performing work, he can also be an effective producer, and has produced such films as “The Elephant Man”, “The Fly”, and “84 Charing Cross Road”.
