Lloyd Bridges made his performing debut in the Broadway production of Othello in 1939. He also became part of Off Broadway productions before he signed with Columbia Pictures. He appeared in a number of jobs for the production business which contained Here Comes Mr. Jordan and Talk of the Town. He resorted to making television undertakings and was successful along with his performance in Sea Hunt which made him both a star along with a millionaire. Bridges became part of Airplane! which brought back his crowd again with his zany screwball style of humor. Then he got his success in funny characters in the sequel Airplane II, Joe vs. the Volcano and the two Hot Shots movies. Besides playing, Lloyd Bridges was an environmentalist who made efforts on green issues. He was likewise active in the American Oceans Campaing and Los Angeles’ “Heal the Bay” effort. He expired on March 10, 1998 due to natural causes.
