Lisa Raymond began her career when she received an athletic scholarship in the University of Florida-Gainesville. She was the very first player to clinch three collegiate Grand Slam titles in 1992. She turned pro in 1993, and did some partnerships, first with Rennae Stubbs, then with Samantha Stosur which they won six titles together. They were named the ITF World Doubles Champions of 2005. Following per year, Raymond and Stosur won ten titles including the French Open, and Season Ending Titles. They also received the WTA Team of the entire year. Raymond decided to retire from her singles career in 2007, and played with several partners including Elena Likhovtseva, Kveta Peschke, Julia Gorges, and Liezel Huber, amongst others. She currently ranked 46th in doubles tennis.
