Joe DiMaggio began his career when he played semi pro with Pacific Coast League’s San Francisco Seals. He made his professional debut in 1932 and made an impact for the team. Four years later, Joe played for New York Yankees. During his stint with the Yankees, he appeared in 13 Major League Baseball All-Star game, and a three-time MVP by the American League in 1939, 1941 and 1947. DiMaggio announced his retirement on December 11, 1951 after twelve seasons with the team. Giuseppe Paolo DiMaggio was born on November 25, 1914 in Martinez, California. His heritage lives on until he expired on March 8, 1999 after he fought lung cancer.
