Collins was born in 23rd May 1933 in Paddington and grew up throughout the second world war. At the age of 9 years, she debuted on stage with “A Doll’s House”. She then went to wed Peter Holm in 1985. This union ended in divorce in 1987. In 2002, she married a guy 32 years junior to him, Percy Gibson.
