Jassim AlKharafi Net Worth $1.25 Billion
Kuwaiti billionaire Jassim Al-Kharafi has an estimated net worth of $1.5 billion as of March 2013 according to Forbes. He is also the most affluent man in Kuwait and is ranked 1161st in the listing of World Billionaires. Jassim, along along with his six other sibs, inherited the Kharafi Group, among the largest holding companies in the Middle East, from their father Mohammed. However, he is more interested in politics than in business unlike his brother Nasser who ran the family business until his death in April 2011. His brother Fawzi took over the group which includes important stakes in several Kuwaiti firms for example the National bank of Kuwait and Zain, a telecommunication firm. Jassim used to serve as the manager of the group before he was elected to the National Assembly in 1975. On October 7, 2011, he was given the Honoris Causa title by the University of Tirana. Mohammed is a graduate of business administration in the Manchester Trade Faculty in Kuwait.
