David Wells is a former American professional baseball player with an estimated net worth of $20 million. Wells started his professional career in baseball when he was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 2nd round of the draft. He went to play for six seasons and became part of the 1992 World Series winning team. Then he played for the Detroit Tigers as a starting pitcher in 1993 and became a top flight pitcher in 1995. Following annually, he was traded to the Baltimore Orioles for Curtis Goodwin and minor leaguer Trovin Valdez. He signed as a free agent with all the New York Yankees in 1997 where he played for 2 seasons. He tossed the 15th perfect game in MLB while playing for the team and was named the ALCS MVP in 1998. Wells in addition has played for the Chicago White Sox then went back to the Yankees. Then he played for the Los Angeles Dodgers before he retired unofficially in 2008.
