David Muir is a native of Syracuse, Ny. Produced in November 8, 1973, he spent his early years at Onondaga Hill and completed his high school studies there as Salutatorian. He studied at the Park School of Broadcasting belonging to Ithaca College situated in The Big Apple and graduated magna cum laude. He received his bachelor degree in Journalism in the year 1995. While studying journalism, he interned at WTVH TV, which will be a CBS affiliate and after he was hired to anchor the weekend news show, while he was still studying in school. He afterwards joined ABC News as the anchorman for the program ‘World News Now’, which will be an overnight news show. In 2011, he was made anchorman for the weekend newscasts and the earlier World News show, that has been renamed as ‘World News with David Muir’. As a result of his high popularity ratings, he was promoted to cohost the show 20/20 with Elizabeth Vargas. He could be also the primary replacement anchor for the show World News with Diane Sawyer in which his series ‘Made in America’ was nominated for Emmy and afterwards became a mainstay at the show. Muir has reported on breaking news all around the globe during his broadcasting career. He’d anchored live the occasions at Newtown in Connecticut and he was also the first American reporter to cover the famine in Mogadishu, Somalia.
