American Infamous game show host,Charles Herbert “Chuck” Woolery has an estimated net worth of $15 million. Initially set his sights on a vocation in the music industry, but made a slight detour when he joined the U.S. Navy instead. Still yearning to make music, Woolery went to Nashville and formed the rock band “Avant Garde.” The group landed in the Top 40 charts with all the song “Naturally Stoned”, which Woolery wrote and produced, but Avant Garde disbanded shortly afterward. Signing a solo record contract with RCA Records,Woolery moved to Los Angeles and broadened his aspirations to contain playing. Woolery got his first role as Mr. Dingle in New Zoo Revue, a syndicated series for children. The exact same year he was also the featured vocalist in the revised series Your Hit Parade.
It proved to be a guest appearance on The Merv Griffin Show that triggered Woolery’s livelihood as a game show host. After the show, Griffin encouraged him to audition to get a newly created game show called Wheel of Fortune. Woolery got the occupation along with the program premiered on NBC’s daytime schedule in January of 1975.
Woolery is possibly best known to television audiences as host of Love Connection, where he established the infamous “back in two and two.” Love Connection is currently part of GSN’s day lineup. During a part of the program’s 11-year run, Woolery simultaneously functioned as the host of Scrabble, holding the rare distinction of hosting two television game shows simultaneously.
In 1991, Woolery hosted his own syndicated talk show and later served as co-host of Household and Family to The Family Channel. Woolery joined The Dating Game in 1997 to relaunch the classic model of the most popular relationship show. In 1999, Woolery hosted the prime time game show Greed, which also airs on GSN.
