Chris Farley was best known for his excessive and dynamic type of humor. He started working as a stand-up comedian in the Ark Improve Theatre in Madison in during the weekends. In the late 1980s, he went at Chicago’s Second City Theatre to refine his act. He wished to pursue his dream of becoming like his idol John Belushi. With his outrageous character, he made his way to New York and landed in the office of Lorne Micheals, creator-producer of the NBC sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live. Along with Chris Rock, who became one among his best buddies in the market, Farley became one of the two new casts of SNL during the 1990-1991season and lasted for five years in the show.
He also appeared in several movies for example Wayne’s World (1992), Coneheads (1993), Billy Madison (1995) and ultimately Tommy Boy (1995) where he worked together with his comic partner and SNL cast member David Spade. In 1996, the duo did one more movie called Blacksheep. Chris became one of the enormous comedy stars with growing popularity.
Farley became even more famous when he made his only movie Beverly Hills Ninja (1997) which featured Chris Rock. This ridiculous martial arts farce became successful and has added fuel to his already growing acclaim. However, his weight had also ballooned to almost 300 pounds that caused his health to deteriorate. He might have continued his humor stints but his dependence on drugs and alcohol has interfered with his work. His last appearance was with Chevey Chase on SNL and this washis only SNL show as a host. His friends and co-workers urged him to seek treatment but he succumbed to death in the age of 33.
