Chris Cornell Net Worth $60 Million
American rocker Chris Cornell, lead vocalist of Soundgarden and Audioslave, has an estimated net worth of $60 million. Of the world’s 50 richest musicians, Chris ranks in at number 40.
Produced Christoper John Boyle on July 20, 1964 in Seattle, Washington to Ed Boyle and Karen Cornell, Chris suffered from severe anxiety as a young man, and used music as an instrument to control it. His first band was a cover band called “The Shemps” during the early 80s. The band which also contained his friends Hiro Yamamoto and Kim Thayil, broke up practically just as it began. Only to reform in 1984 under the new name “Soundgarden.”
Initially he played guitar and drums in the band, until Scott Sundquist took over as drummer, allowing Chris to focus on singing. It had been his singing that made all the difference. In 1990 the band received a Grammy nomination for the best metal performance, and was signed to A&M Records. Several different groups and also a solo act later, his music career is doing amazing. But his net worth is mostly because of composing music, and not his groups performances. Chris Cornell has scored music for a number of big films, including Casino Royal and The Avengers.
