Shelby was born Carroll Hall Shelby on January 11, 1923 in Leesburg, Texas. His father Warren Hall Shelby is a rural mail carrier and her mother is Eloise Lawrence Shelby. He suffered from a heart valve leakage when he was seven years old and spent most of his childhood during intercourse.
