Bruce is an alumnus of the University of Washington where he graduated with a degree in economics in 1955. He is now married to his wife Jeannie with whom he’s three sons named Peter, Erik and Blake. Nordstrom is considered to be the grandson of Nordstrom, Inc founder,John W. Nordstrom. The company began in 1901 as a shoe store. Bruce began working for the company at age 9 and that time, he was getting 25 cents per hour of work. In 1963, he began working as the business ‘s president. By 1968, he became the co-chairman along with Bob Bender, Jack McMillan, James and John. A European retired from his place in 1995. The direction of the organization was restructured by his sons together with the brand new chief executive officer John Whitacre. Six years later, he tendered his resignation again.
