Retired British athlete and businessman, Alan Pascoe has a net worth of $30 million as of May 2012, according to the Sunday Times UK Rich List. He also won a gold medal in the 400m hurdles in the Commonwealth Games in 1974. Pascoe eventually hung up his spikes in 1978. Having worked as a teacher, he later supported his athletics through membership of sports quangos. This directed into sports marketing, along with a fortune for the runner. In 1975 he joined MSW Promotions, which he bought out as well as renamed Alan Pascoe Associates in 1984.
